Quote: Incy Wincy Spider
As children, we learned this little rhyme:
Incy Wincy Spider climbed up the water spout
Down came the rain and washed the spider out
Out came the sun and dried up all the rain
Incy Wincy Spider climbed up the spout again.
Incy Wincy Spider climbed up the tree
Down came the snow and made poor Incy freeze
Out came the sun and melted all the snow
So Incy Wincy Spider had another go!
It’s meant to teach us the value of persistence, but so often when we reach adulthood we forget that to achieve anything, we mustn’t quit as soon as we come across the first setback. We need to plan carefully, know where we’re going, and wait for the right time to take action.
And when we’re really up the spout, we need the determination to keep trying other ideas until we’re successful.
So… when you decide your new success idea has legs – make sure eight of them belong to Incy Wincy. (tweet this)
